21 Day Challenge - Unlock a Better You with Positive Habits.
Can you believe that the end of the year is already here… where does the time go?
With 2023 fast approaching, it’s time once again for a fresh start, the chance to try something new. To be the person who you want to be. To live the life that you deserve.
Now what if I told you that it is possible to make those changes, to live your life the way you want to. To feel better than you have in a long time. To meet your goals. To follow your dreams.
So, how can we do it?
OUR HABITS ARE KEY.
Did you know it takes 21 days for your brain to make the pathway connections to turn something into a habit?
Three weeks!! That’s all you need before your brain starts processing tasks as second nature, forming habits.
So why is it so hard for most of us to achieve? I’ll do it tomorrow, Monday, next week, in the new year… sound familiar? Procrastination, the killer of motivation…
What if I told you that there is no perfect time to start something. So, why not start today? Instead of it being ‘one day’, let’s make today ‘DAY ONE’.
Creating little (and fun) positive habits are the best way to make the biggest changes in your life.
Adding a health supplement to your day, eating better, exercising more, and getting adequate sleep, are all simple positive habits you can add into your life to help you start living your potential.
SO… STARTING TOMORROW, WE HAVE 21 DAYS UNTIL THE CLOCK STRIKES MIDNIGHT ON NEW YEAR’S EVE.
Are you ready to make 2023 your best year yet?
If yes, then I challenge you.
Let’s not wait one more moment, let’s get a head start, we want our new habits ready to go from day one. This way it’s easier to stick to our goals and resolutions for 2023. While everyone else gives up on their goals after a week or two, we will be thriving.
It might not be easy, but I promise you it will be worth it, because being the best version of yourself is worth it!
I want you to say, “I am worthy, I am powerful, I kick arse and I’ve got this.”
Grab a friend and do the challenge together. You are more likely to succeed with an accountability partner. Don’t have one? Let me be that person for you. I’ll be here every day, checking in and reporting on my progress via social media and I can’t wait to hear all about your goals and see your progress.
Just give yourself 21 days to form this new positive habit, you deserve it.
Are you ready? Let’s do it!
NEW YEAR, NEW HABITS, NEW YOU.
Rule #1 of habit making – make it fun.
Most people have similar goals when it comes to making their resolutions - weight loss, eat healthy, save money, exercise, travel more, read more, etc.
And it’s okay if you fit into that category, but when making those goals, I want you to be very specific and go in depth about what you want to do, how you will achieve it and how it will make you feel. More importantly, make it fun. If your goal is generic or even boring, chances are it will be very hard to motivate yourself to do it, especially every day.
If you are going to choose multiple goals, that’s amazing, just be careful not to overwhelm yourself by doing too many at once. And know that it is completely okay to choose just one to start with.
For this challenge I’m going to do two - One for my health and one for fun. If you’d like to do the same, spread them out or do them back-to-back, whatever suits you best.
If all you can spare is five minutes, that’s okay too. It’s absolutely better than not at all.
My 21 Day Challenge Goals
For my Health
I will exercise more. I will do this by doing at least 30 minutes of Dance Fitness on YouTube each day. I will do this when I first wake up and before I get ready for work. Now, before you scoff at this idea – this stuff is HARDCORE. And besides, it’s my goal, not yours (hehe).
For Fun
I will read more. I will do this by reading at least 1 chapter of a book every day. On my clinic days, I will do this in my backyard while drinking my morning coffee and soaking up that morning sun (hey serotonin). On my retail job days I will read a chapter in bed with my sleepy tea – the best routine for a top quality sleep.
Now you try. What is something you want to achieve?
I will… [goal]
I will do this by… [how will you achieve this]
When? [when will you do it]
Where? [where will you do it]
Remind yourself of this every day during the challenge, to keep yourself on track.
By linking your habits together or attaching them to something you already do every day - you do what is called habit stacking, and it is a far easier way to build a new habit.
When looking at my goals you will see that I have linked fitness with waking up and have linked reading to my morning coffee or bedtime tea. I can then even go as far to link all of these together as well:
Wake up > Dance Fitness > Morning coffee > Reading
So, now I have locked-in two habits to my regular daily routine. Easy.
